We’re back on the instrumental drive this week with a beautifully smooth piece of electronic dance courtesy of the UK’s Rival Consoles. This is Howl:
Rival Consoles is the stage name of Ryan Lee West, an English electronic artist publishing music under the Erased Tapes label since 2007, with an impressive amount albums under his name. This song is the titular and #1 track on his third full-length, released in 2015.

The album Howl is noticeable for how Rival Consoles layers his songs, and that particular trait is the most prominent feature of this instrumental record. Unlike Nautilus, which we featured a few weeks ago, this is a heavily electronic track that has a really smooth and chilled rise, but still delivers that dancer’s drop to really get you hooked. This is a hugely enjoyable piece of music to sit down and listen to, or even work alongside as I have been doing.
I hope you enjoy this record! Hopefully we’ll have our next Anime Pocket Reviews up during the week, while I also want to start updating our Instagram again, so if you’re on your mobile, why not check us out here?
As always, have a great week with lots of love from The Culture Cove!
