This week’s Song of the Week is Young by Australian duo Vallis Alps.
For some reason I really couldn’t find out much about these two! All I know is that Vallis Alps is an Australian male-female duo that spend the majority of their time touring mid-level festivals and events across Australia and Europe. They have one self-titled, 4-song EP to their name, released early last year. Young is the headline song for this young group.
This is just a really cool piece of music. It has a very chilled vibe throughout – almost a lullaby feel – led by really smooth vocals. What makes this song, though, is the patient, controlled dance beat in the background that drags throughout – it just adds extra layers to what is already a good song.
