Distance: Isaac Delusion – Song of the Week

One more week until December! Start your week right with a bit of fresh music from the electro capital of the world – Paris! This is Distance, by Isaac Delusion.

Isaac Delusion

Hailing from Paris, France, Isaac Delusion are an indie-pop group that formed in 2012. Originally a duo, this small group have released a string of singles alongside two full albums, their self-titled premiere in 2014 (recorded on a farm in Normandy, apparently), with their second – Rust & Gold – following in 2017, on which this song features at #7.

A beautiful mix of deep, heavy dance beats and co-founder Loïc’s wistful notes – featuring perfectly executed English, you might add – make this a really enjoyable tune with real depth. With an underlying emotive core, you really feel like there’s a journey being taken on this record despite seemingly simple lyrics, and the fantastic production behind it makes this a little gem dug out of the deep Parisian music scene.

Here’s to a good week, with lots of love from The Culture Cove.
